Chapter 5 Flag Items & Cheer System: Turning Support into Strength with Special Items

The key to enjoying "fan activities" in Community Wars more passionately and strategically is the "Flag Item." This chapter will explain in detail the various functions of these Flag Items and the system that turns support into strength. Understanding and utilizing Flag Items will be a step towards leading you and the community you support to victory.

1. What are Flag Items? - Proof of Support for Your Fave

Flag Items are special items that symbolize a specific community a player wishes to support. They are not just in-game items, but also serve as proof of your feelings of support for your "fave."

Acquisition Method and Sales Period

Flag Items can primarily be purchased from the dedicated in-game shop, PlayMining NFT (an NFT marketplace provided by PlayMining), and other external NFT marketplaces. As a general rule, new designs and types of Flag Items will appear each season and will be sold for a limited time until the middle of the season. If you find the flag of the community you want to support, be sure to obtain it and give form to your feelings of support.

Rarity and Effects

Flag Items have multiple rarities, and the higher the rarity, the greater the "equipment effect," which will be described later. The equipment effect increases the parameters of specific units by a certain percentage, and this percentage varies depending on the rarity. Please check the table below for details.

These items are NFTs issued on a chain managed by PlayMining. Being NFTs, each Flag Item exists in the world as a unique entity, its ownership is clearly recorded on the blockchain, and it is guaranteed that the player truly "owns" it. Furthermore, by linking your game account with your PlayMining NFT account, buying and selling between players through PlayMining NFT and other external NFT marketplaces becomes possible (please check the official PlayMining website for details).

2. Functions of Flag Items: Support, Strategy, Rewards

Flag Items are not just symbols of support; they also have various functions (utilities) such as advancing the game favorably, contributing to the community, and allowing players themselves to earn rewards.
The main functions are as follows:
  • Strategic Value by Equipping to Deck (Equipment Effect)
  • Indirect Contribution to the Community (Community Benefit: Increased Lottery Probability)
  • Direct Contribution to the Community (Medal Acquisition through Flag Daily Ranking and Activity Bonuses)
  • Rewards as a Result of Support (Presents such as Reward Points and Experience Items through Burning)

Equipment Effect: Advancing Battles Favorably

Equipping a Flag Item to your deck increases all parameters of the targeted units. This increase rate varies for each Flag Item. Equip flags according to your strategy and advance battles favorably. (In the future, equipment effects other than parameter increases are planned to be added.)

Community Benefit (Increased Lottery Probability): Making the Lottery Advantageous for Everyone

Flag Items acquired by players also bring benefits to the entire community to which the flag is linked. The more the total purchase amount of a community's Flag Items increases, the higher the winning probability of an item in the "Community Lottery" available to all members belonging to that community. (See Chapter 7 for details on the Community Lottery.) In other words, by having many members own flags, the entire community can more easily obtain better items, indirectly leading to the strengthening of the community's forces.

Medal Acquisition: Directly Contribute to the Community by Purchasing

Purchasing Flag Items is also a means of directly contributing to the community's victory. During the season, the sales count of Flag Items for each community is tallied daily and announced as the "Flag Daily Ranking." Communities that rank high in this ranking will be distributed Medals, which are important in determining the community's season rank.
Also, every time a user obtains a Flag Item, Medals are awarded as an activity bonus to the community supported by that flag. Your Flag Item purchase strongly supports your fave community's victory.

Rewards by Burning: Giving Form to the Results of Support

After the season ends, by "burning" the Flag Items you possess, you can receive the results of your support in the form of Reward Points and experience items. Details on burning will be explained in the next section.

3. Reward Acquisition Flow by Burning

Flag Items, which are proof of continued support for the community throughout the season, bring further benefits to players when they are "burned" after the season ends.

What is Burning?

Burning is the act of intentionally discarding possessed Flag Items (NFTs). By burning, the Flag Item (NFT) is lost forever from the world (and of course, from your possession list), but in return, Reward Points, experience items, etc., are presented.

Obtainable Rewards

The items presented by burning vary depending on the final season ranking of the supported community.
  • If the supported community ranks high (*): Reward Points
    • If you burn a Flag Item of a high-ranking community, "Reward Points" will be presented by the management to celebrate that high rank. These Reward Points can be exchanged for various valuable items in the game.
  • In other cases: Experience items, etc.
    • Items useful for strengthening forces for the next season, such as experience items necessary for unit enhancement, will be presented.
(*) The specific conditions for "high rank" where Reward Points are presented vary depending on the type of flag. Details will be explained in Section 4 "Types of Flags: Choosing Your Form of Support."

Guideline for Reward Points and Burnable Period

A guideline for the Reward Points presented by burning can be confirmed in-game when purchasing Flag Items. The period during which burning is possible is planned to be for several months after each season ends. Burning will not be possible after the period has passed.

4. Types of Flags: Choosing Your Form of Support

There are mainly the following two types of Flag Items, each with different ways of supporting and conditions for earning rewards when burned.
  • 1-Community Support Type Flag
  • 2-Community Support Type Flag

1-Community Support Type Flag

A type of flag for supporting one specific community.
  • Reward Point Acquisition Condition by Burning: Reward Points are presented if the supported community brilliantly achieves 1st place in that season.
  • Community Benefit (Increased Lottery Probability): The lottery winning probability for the supported single community increases.

2-Community Support Type Flag

A type of flag for simultaneously supporting two specific communities.
  • Reward Point Acquisition Condition by Burning: Reward Points are presented if the two supported communities achieve 1st and 2nd place (in any order) in that season.
  • Community Benefit (Increased Lottery Probability): The lottery winning probability for each of the two supported communities increases (with the effect apportioned).
Players can decide which type of flag to choose according to their support style and strategy.

5. Flag Item Cycle

From purchase until after the end of the season, Flag Items influence player activities and community battles in various ways. The following shows a series of cycles centered on Flag Items.

Through this cycle, Flag Items are not just temporary boost items, but become proof of support activities throughout the season and play an important role deeply involved in player strategy and the fate of the community.
