Chapter 2 Game Concept & Loop: How the Game Works and How to Enjoy It

In Chapter 1, we explained that "Community Wars" is a new experience where your "love" can be turned into power, allowing you to participate in your fave's story. This chapter will introduce the overall concept of the game that supports this experience, how you will be involved, and the basic "mechanisms" and "ways to enjoy it." We will explain how the "easy game experience playable in 3 minutes," mentioned in Chapter 1, connects to your daily "fan activities" and gives concrete form to your support.

Basic Game Flow: The Cycle Where Your Support Takes Shape

The basic play cycle of "Community Wars" consists of a simple yet engaging loop: "(Preparation/Development) → Join (a community) → Contribute (through gameplay) → Results (for the community) → Rewards (for you)."

As this diagram shows, you first develop your favorite unit cards, form your own unique deck, and prepare for battle. Next, you choose and join a "fave" community that you genuinely want to support, such as a VTuber group, idol unit, e-sports team, or even a community supporting a specific brand or region. Then, through diverse gameplay—challenging daily tower defense battles, clearing daily missions, and even utilizing special "Flag items"—you earn "Medals" and contribute to your community.
Every "Medal" you collect becomes a force that pushes up your affiliated community's ranking and leads them to victory in the season. These achievements not only translate into real support for the community but are also returned to you as attractive "Rewards." Your support during those small pockets of time in your daily life—on the commuter train, during a work break, or before bed—moves your fave's future and also leads to your own joy. This virtuous cycle is the new form of support that "Community Wars" offers.
This chapter will explain what "communities" are, a key component of this cycle, and specifically what "ways to enjoy (ways to contribute)" are available.

What is a Community? — Find Your "Fave"

In "Community Wars," a "community" refers to the various real-world groups or entities you wish to support. For example, these can take many forms, such as VTuber groups, idol units, e-sports teams, specific brands or works, or even countries and regions.
Before a season begins, players choose one of these communities to join. Once the season starts, they work together with fellow fans supporting the same "fave" to achieve victory and development for their community. Which community you join is an expression of your "love" itself.
Changing the community you support might lead to new encounters with different cultures and comrades.

Main Ways to Enjoy: Various Forms of Contribution

In Chapter 1, we touched on the appeal of "gameplay directly linking to real-life fan activities." This is realized through diverse methods of "contribution." In "Community Wars," players can contribute to and enjoy their community in their own style. Here are three representative examples:

① Contribute Through Battles — Quick Battles with a Single Finger

The core of the game is tower defense battles that can be easily enjoyed in about 3 minutes per play. No complex operations are required; simply deploy units with a single finger and defend your territory.
By meeting specific conditions in these battles (e.g., achieving a certain score, clearing with a special deck composition), you can earn "Medals." These Medals are a crucial element that influences community rankings. The goal isn't just individual high scores. "Let's all earn Medals and push our fave to the top!"—towards this common goal, both advanced players and beginners have a chance to shine and become heroes in their own way.
(Detailed battle rules and strategies will be explained in Chapter 3 "Core Battle Mechanics.")

② Contribute Through Daily Activities — Logging In is Also Valid Support

In "Community Wars," small daily activities outside of battles are also valued as important "contributions" to the community.
For example, daily logins, and "Community Missions" where you work with community members to achieve goals. Or even strategizing with comrades in chat or exchanging supportive messages are also valid contributions that lead to community vitalization. Even if you think, "I'm not very good at battles..." it's okay. Even if you don't have much time to play the game for long periods, you can fully become a protagonist of "fan activity" just by participating in your spare moments.
(Details on features that liven up the community will be introduced in Chapter 7 "Community Features.")

③ Contribute Through Cheering — With the Power of Flag Items

For players who want to support their community more directly and strategically, special items called "Flag items" are available.
Equipping a Flag item not only gives you an advantage in battle, but the purchase itself also leads to direct support for the community (such as earning Medals). Furthermore, after the season ends, by "burning" the Flag item, you can also receive "Reward Points" and other benefits in return.
The enthusiasm to "support your fave" benefits your game, strengthens your community, and also rewards you. This win-win relationship is another major feature of "Community Wars."
(Flag items, the support system through them, and rewards will be explained in detail in Chapter 5 "Flag Items & Cheer System" and Chapter 6 "Reward Flow & Economy.")

In this way, in "Community Wars," your various actions are quantified and visualized in the form of "Medals" and "activity," directly linking to your affiliated community's ranking and, by extension, the real-world activities of your "fave."
This "visualization of contribution," "real-world impact," and the virtuous cycle where "your support accelerates your fave's success, and the joy of that success is then returned to you"—this is the core of the unprecedented new "fan activity" experience that "Community Wars" offers. This experience, where game and reality merge more deeply and enjoyably, will transform your daily life into something special.
From the next chapter, we will delve into the specific game systems that support this fascinating cycle, one by one. First, let's take a closer look at the tactics and rules of tower defense, the foundation of the thrilling community battles, in Chapter 3.
